On Wednesday afternoon there was quite a commotion in Lower School. Year 4 pupils have been learning about the work of archaeologists and what materials might still remain from a body that had died 100 years ago. As they entered the Middle Room, they found Dr Cofnsplutter, the infamous explorer, lying on the floor. Who was this man and how had he died?
The children had to look at all Dr Cofnsplutter's items and identify what would still be seen and record this - ie what was 'organic' or 'inorganic'. They soon realised that his bones and metal belt buckle would be there but his lunch and map may have disappeared...
Great fun was had by all. We are still wondering who the man was. Could it have been Mr Wells or was he in that meeting with Mr Bryan?
