Every year the Cheltenham Festival ask The Junior to host a Young Writers' Day. This event involves five other primary schools sending a small group of pupils and a member of staff to spend the day in our school library. Five of our Year 6 pupils joined in and Liz Kessler, an author, gave up a day to guide and inspire us about writing. Liz was very engaging and funny and the sessions were informal and lively. There were many practical and interactive activities and the pupils were given the chance to write in various different ways. It was a fantastic event, as always!
