We are so sad at the news of Rendcomb College closing and we truly recognise what a difficult, challenging and emotional time this will be for you and your children. We are ready to help in whatever way we can. We understand that every family circumstance is individual and our admissions teams are here to listen and support you as you decide your next steps.

Things to know about Cheltenham College for Rendcomb College families
- We are a 3-18 school with a Prep School of 410 pupils from Nursery to Year 8, and a Senior School of 705 pupils from Year 9 to Year 13.
- We offer means-tested bursaries – all are welcome to apply – with a decision within seven days after receipt of the form.
- For families who wish to join before September 2026, we would not charge fees but we would ask that you honour your fee commitment to Rendcomb College for the Summer Term.
- We understand the fee differential in some year groups between Rendcomb and Cheltenham, and have therefore put aside a significant bursary pot specifically to support Rendcomb College families.
- If a senior school pupil is a Rendcomb College scholar in Academic, Art, Choral, Drama, Music and/or Sport, we will uphold and honour the Rendcomb College scholarships both in title and financial award.
- We have bus services running with stops in Rendcomb and surrounding areas, and are able to look into new routes quickly.
- We offer options for occasional, flexi and full boarding as well as day places.
- Pupils in Year 3 and above attend school on Saturday morning – this is only 21 Saturdays across the academic year.
- Pupils in the Prep School play sport on Saturday mornings, which is a lovely way for family members to come and watch.

We are offering bespoke tours at the Prep School and College for Rendcomb College families on the following dates. Please contact Admissions to book a time to visit. Alternatively we can arrange an individual tour for you at any time.

- (Please note: this is an Exeat Saturday, so school is not running, but staff are here to offer individual tours and answer any questions you may have)
- Wednesday 28 January from 9.30am
- Saturday 31 January from 9.30am

Applying
Applying is started through the Registration Form which you can find on the pages for your child’s year group. We understand the challenge and difficulty of this current situation, and so there is no Registration Fee.
We will ensure:
- Applications are processed quickly with a decision within 48 hours from receiving the Registration Form, supporting documents and any completed academic assessments.
- Means-tested bursary applications are processed within seven days of receipt of the mean-tested bursary form.
