Archives Project Assistant

Date Posted: Wednesday 08 March 2023

Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Closing date for application: 17/03/2023

Cheltenham College seeks to appoint an Archives Project Assistant for a short term assignment of 2 weeks over the Easter school holidays (from Monday 3 April)

The Cheltenham College Archive is extensive and contains material that may not merit retention.  This project is to assist the College Archivist in scrutinising the materials, appraising material against criteria as set out in the retention schedule and disposing as necessary.

The role will suit someone with an interest in heritage and/or records management, although full training will be given.

The role will have some moderate physical demands, due to the location of the stores, the need to collect confidential waste in sacks, and to move them to an appropriate location.

Full details of the role can be found in the job description below.
