Building & Roofing Labourer
Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a Building (& Roofing) Labourer.
The Estates Department are a team of approximately 50 employees and collectively, they are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the 70-acre site including academic and residential buildings, offices, grounds and gardens.
Reporting to the Works Manager and working closely with the College builder, the postholder’s duties will include: ongoing maintenance and repair work on College’s buildings, fences, paths and walls.
In addition, and also via the Works Manager, the role will include the repair of roofs and other general roofing activities, such as clearance and repair of gutters, drains and downpipes.
Across all areas of school life, we expect our employees to carry out their duties to a high standard, and within the Estates team, drive and enthusiasm are highly valued; therefore, the role may be suitable for either an experienced building labourer looking for their next challenge or for an individual with a willingness to learn on the job.
Applicants must have the ability and confidence to work at height and will be expected to attend any necessary training in order to safely fulfil the requirements of the role.
General labouring, bricklaying, fencing and hard landscaping experience would be desirable.
The salary range for this role would be between £25,066.00 to £28,392 depending on experience.
