The Cheltonian Society aims to connect the Cheltenham College and Cheltenham Prep worldwide community. Membership of the Cheltonian Society is free and automatic for Old Cheltonians (OCs). This includes past and presents pupils, parents and staff.

The broad aims of the Cheltonian Society are to:

  • Engender a deep and longlasting connection to Cheltenham College for all Society members (OCs, parents, staff).
  • Enable Society members to network with other members to support their career development.
  • Encourage Society members to support Cheltenham College through volunteering their time and experience, or through donations to Cheltenham College Charitable Trust.

The Cheltonian Society functions as a department within Cheltenham College, made up of the Cheltonian Society Manager, Cheltonian Society Database Manager and Cheltonian Society Assistant, alongside the Development Director. The Society manages its own database (provided by ToucanTech) and website ( and works closely with other College departments, in particular Marketing, Admissions and Careers.  Society membership numbers exceed 5,000.

The post holder must have the ability to work in a busy environment and cope with conflicting demands. They will be expected to be a seasoned professional who can demonstrate a significant amount of initiative, autonomy and personal responsibility, as well as meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
