Head of English
For September 2024, Cheltenham College seeks to appoint an exceptional teacher who can lead the English Department across the full ability and age ranges. The appointee will have outstanding subject knowledge, vision and strong leadership skills as well as possessing the ability to innovate and inspire colleagues.
The successful candidate will teach the subject to A Level and the ability to mentor students to Oxbridge level is highly desirable.
College enjoys a thriving Common Room which offers a staff bar, regular social events and a supportive and collegiate atmosphere. Colleagues are generous in their support of new staff members and driven by a determination to ensure the very best outcomes for their students and colleagues.
The College has its own salary scale, and applicants will wish to contribute to College’s rich co-curricular programme. The Head of English can expect to teach a reduced timetable.
