Learning Mentor (Term Time only)
Required for September 2022, the Learning Support department is seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor.
This role would suit a recent graduate or an individual with existing experience to help develop pupils’ learning skills and the use of ICT to aid learning. The role would suit someone who enjoys working with young people and is confident using ICT. It may have particular appeal for someone considering teaching as a career.
The Learning Mentor will work with pupils on both a one-to one and small-group basis, offering study skills support and developing pupils’ literacy skills.
The successful candidate will be able to support and motivate young people, communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents and be proactive in encouraging pupils to access the support provisions which are available to them.
Hours of work: 11am to 8pm. The role is full time during College term time (33 weeks).
Salary: The salary is pro rated to reflect the part year working pattern. Salary range: £20,370 to £22,000 (based on a full time equivalent of £26,843 to £29,000 per annum)
