Learning Mentor: SEND / Learning Support (Term Time only)
Required for September 2022, the Learning Support department is seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor. This would be an ideal role for somebody considering a role in teaching.
The Learning Mentor will work with pupils on both a one-to one and small-group basis, offering study skills support and developing pupils’ literacy skills. The postholder will also assist with the running of revision clinics and invigilation of internal exams.
The successful candidate will be able to support and motivate young people, communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and parents and be proactive in encouraging pupils to access the support provisions which are available to them.
Initiative, flexibility and the ability to relate to young people are essential.
The role is full time during College term time (33 weeks).
Hours of work are: 11am to 8pm.
Salary: The salary is pro rated to reflect the part year working pattern. Salary range: £20,370 to £22,000 (based on a full time equivalent of £26,843 to £29,000 per annum)
