Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a number of individuals who will work on rotation to support and act as Chaperone to a pupil who is  subject to non-epileptic seizures. Full details and requirements for the role can be found in the job description below.

No specific qualifications are required but the postholder should feel confident supporting teenagers and be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children.

It essential that applicants are able to stay calm and level-headed, as well as being warm and reassuring when the situation requires.

The pupil needs to be chaperoned throughout the teaching day which runs from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.  We expect to recruit several people who will be prepared to cover some of these hours, for example 3 days or 5 mornings.  A rota will be developed depending on the availability of those we employ.

Initially, this contract will be fixed term depending on medical assessment and the ongoing needs of the pupil.

Hourly Rate £11.97 per hour.
