Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a qualified Trumpet Teacher with considerable skill and experience of teaching in the age range of 13-18. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach the full range of ability up to and including Grade 8 and diploma level.

Working within our thriving Music Department and reporting to the Director of Music, the Trumpet Teacher will work closely with other staff in the Music faculties. They will form part of a team of vocal and instrumental Visiting Music Teachers (VMTs) and will be responsible for the further development of College’s Trumpet players.

In recent years, pupils have achieved excellent results in ABRSM, Trinity, and London College of Music examinations.

The ability to teach across genres, including classical, jazz, and pop is a necessity.

Opportunities may exist for performance as well as the direction of ensembles and sectional rehearsals.
