British Science Week

Pupils enjoy hands-on experiments from skeletons to circuits

Pupils at Cheltenham Prep had a fantastic time celebrating British Science Week 2026! Across the school, science came alive with a range of interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and develop critical thinking.

Year 6 explored skeletons, mapping their own bones and identifying animal skulls with keen detective skills. Year 5 investigated habitats, building bird nests from natural materials and testing them in a simulated storm. Year 8 created plasticine animations to show how white blood cells fight off pathogens, combining science with IT. Meanwhile, Year 2 explored electricity, building circuits and experimenting with the Van de Graaff generator for some electrifying fun!
