National Success for College Rackets

During the final week of the Spring Term, 30 Cheltenham College pupils represented the College at the National Schools’ Rackets Championships at The Queen’s Club in London.

There were strong performances across the U15, U16 and Senior competitions, with several boys’ pairs reaching the quarter-final stages and excellent individual success in the girls’ singles events.

Highlights included Sophia reaching the semi-finals of the Judy Angus Cup, Poppy finishing as runner-up, and Lulu reaching the semi-finals of the Rackets Professionals Association Cup.

A huge congratulations goes to Tilly, who won the Rackets Professionals Association Cup after a fiercely contested final against Marlborough.

The girls’ team performances also secured Cheltenham College joint winners of the Peter Mallinson Cup for the highest performing school.
