What to Expect at a Cheltenham College Open Morning

Choosing the right senior school is an important decision, and there is no better way to experience Cheltenham College than by visiting us in person.

Our Open Mornings give families the opportunity to explore our beautiful campus, meet our pupils and staff, and gain a genuine insight into life at Cheltenham College.

A Warm Welcome

When you arrive between 9.15am and 9.30am, you will be greeted by our Sixth Form Prefects and welcomed with light refreshments.

At 9.45am, the morning begins with a welcome from our Head, before families set off to explore the College with one of our current pupils.

Explore the College

Following the welcome, each family will be guided around the College by one of our current pupils, offering a unique opportunity to experience Cheltenham College through the eyes of someone who lives and learns here every day.

During the tour, you will visit classrooms, specialist teaching spaces, sports facilities and one of our boarding houses, giving you a real feel for everyday life at Cheltenham College. As you walk around the campus, you will also have the chance to hear about your guide’s own experiences and ask questions along the way.

Meet Our Community

After the tour, you’ll return to the main College for refreshments and the opportunity to speak with members of staff.

Teachers, Housemasters and Housemistresses, the Admissions Team and other key members of the College community will be available to answer any questions you may have about academic life, boarding, co-curricular opportunities or the admissions process.

A Smaller, More Personal Experience

Our College Open Mornings are intentionally kept small, with around 25 families attending each event. This ensures every visitor receives a personalised experience and plenty of opportunities to speak with pupils and staff.

Places are limited and often fill quickly, so we recommend registering your interest as early as possible.

Join Us

Our next College Open Mornings will take place on Saturday 10 October and Saturday 5 December.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Cheltenham College. Register your place today, or contact visits@cheltenhamcollege.org if you have any questions or would like to find out more.
