Malaysia Hockey Tour 2026
Twelve days of hockey, culture and adventure in Malaysia.
This summer, members of the Cheltenham College 1st XI enjoyed an unforgettable 12-day hockey tour to Malaysia, combining competitive hockey with cultural experiences and team building.
The squad explored Kuala Lumpur, visiting landmarks including the Batu Caves, Petronas Towers and the vibrant Chinatown night markets, while also sampling local food and culture. A white-water rafting adventure proved a particular highlight and helped bring together a squad featuring several new players.
On the hockey pitch, the team completed four training sessions and played four matches against Malaysian opposition, including a memorable fixture at the National Hockey Stadium. Finishing with two wins and two losses was an excellent achievement and provides plenty of optimism for the season ahead.
The tour also included a visit to Cheltenham College Kuala Lumpur, where the team proudly represented the College and strengthened connections with the wider Cheltenham community.
A truly memorable experience, the tour created lasting friendships, valuable hockey memories and experiences that will stay with the players for years to come.
