HM Forces Families in receipt of CEA pay 10%

For eligible families, the HM Forces’ Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) provides assistance with the costs of boarding school fees. Cheltenham College is committed to a fee policy that ensures maximum support for our HM Forces families, and so generous service discounts will be automatically awarded for boarding pupils eligible for the CEA. This means that families will contribute only 10% of the gross boarding fees (10% of the VAT inclusive termly fee).

Sibling discount will no longer be awarded to those in receipt of CEA in recognition of the substantial discount already provided. Scholarships and Exhibitions awarded will be honorary and will not include additional fee remission.

Any optional extras (such as music lessons, learning support, or other chargeable activities) will be billed separately and are not included on the 10% contribution.

Military Bursaries for HM Forces Families who do not receive the CEA

Cheltenham College also offers a military bursary to HM Forces’ families who do not receive the Continuing Education Allowance. This discount off the fees is differentiated depending on rank which is explained in the table below.

Sibling discount is available for parents who are in the HM Forces but do not receive the CEA, and Scholarships and Exhibitions awarded to pupils will include a fee remission.
