Charity Netball match raises money for Active Impact

On Tuesday 8 March, the 1st VII Netball team played against Malvern College in the annual charity match. This year, the chosen charity for the event was Active Impact. Active Impact promotes inclusion and works to create opportunities for disabled and non-disabled children together, throughout Gloucestershire.

As well as the Netball match, the 1st VII organised a bake sale, raffle and half time House shoot out to further support the fundraising efforts. In total the event raised over £2,000 for Active Impact.

A close match eventually finished with a final score of 25-15 to College.

A huge thank you must go out to all the supporters on the day, the girls who baked and ran the cake stall, the participants who competed in the half time shoot out competition, the pupils who helped with the raffle and the staff who worked behind the scenes to help make the event happen.

Well done to the whole team on a much deserved win and fantastic fundraising efforts for an amazing cause.
