Cheltenham College Sixth Form Results 2024

Over 90% of pupils gain places in their chosen destinations

Cheltenham College 2024 Sixth Form leavers are looking forward to their next steps in education and careers after receiving an excellent set of A Level, CTech and BTEC results. 75% of pupils achieved grades A*-B, and almost 15% of pupils gained all A*/A grades. Throughout their time at Cheltenham, pupils are encouraged to develop in five key areas, known as the Cheltenham 5C’s; Character, Creativity, Curiosity, Community and striving for Continuous Excellence. These 5C’s, alongside both pupil and teacher determination, commitment and enthusiasm are brilliantly reflected in the results achieved.

Nicola Huggett, the Head at Cheltenham College said, “We congratulate our very hard-working Upper Sixth pupils who have achieved great examinations results today. They have put in a huge amount of effort and are rewarded with some excellent university places, both here and in many prestigious institutions overseas. All our Cheltonians are very involved in activities both in and outside the classroom, and this year group in particular have given so much to local charities through this year, both in terms of volunteering and fund-raising. We wish them every success in the future and on their behalf, I would like to thank their teachers, tutors, house staff and all the wider support staff at the College who have helped them to achieve their potential.”

Many of the 2024 leavers will now go on to study at university, with over 90% of pupils getting into their chosen destination. Sights are set on horizons much further afield for some, as Cheltenham College have seen increased interest in higher education overseas in recent years. Supported by a dedicated Higher Education and Careers Department, pupils are encouraged to explore all options available to them following their Cheltenham education. This year particularly, 16 Upper Sixth Form pupils and five past leavers have received offers for higher education overseas. They have received an impressive, combined total of 44 offers for over 10 different courses including: Medicine, Fashion Design, Life Science, Psychology and Maths. Offers are from over 25 institutions across six countries. There is a further cause for celebration for the 11 pupils that have been offered 18 scholarships and awards.
