Equestrian Success
Over the last few weeks, many of our pupils have been taking part in Equestrian events both as a part of College and individually.
The Equestrian team of Ellie, Alice, Katie, George and Isla secured second place in the Eventer Challenge competition over half term which has qualified them for the Hickstead Championship in May.
Zoe went to Bicton arena last weekend to compete individually and for the British Dressage Gloucestershire team. It was a very close fought competition but Gloucestershire finished as Reserve Champions and Zoe picked up a 5th place individually.
Ellie recently competed at British Eventing Broadway Horse Trials with Cleodore and Fernhill Smart Choice. Cleodore posted a 26.8 dressage to lead the Under 18s section. Overall, she secured 4th place in a very competitive U18s competition at the age of just 15! Ellie has also qualified for the British Eventing National Youth Championships.
Amelia has been having a very busy couple of months since coming out of lockdown competing with her pony Dakota. Amelia has completed five One Day Event Competitions, consisting of dressage, showjumping and cross country. She placed in four of them achieving a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th place.
Like many sports, Equestrian is now entering a quieter period and there is no competition during lockdown, with the exception of the online dressage, which is judged via a video recording at home. A huge congratulations to everyone that has participated so far this term.
