Finding True Value: Reflections from Chapel
Students explore self-worth, purpose, and the Confirmation programme
During morning chapel, students reflected on the nature of self-worth and the ways we measure our value. They were encouraged to consider whether they define themselves by comparison with others, illustrated as climbing a ladder, or by contributing to something greater, likened to a light that illuminates everything around it. The talk highlighted the difference between status and genuine self-worth, prompting thoughtful reflection among the congregation.
The service also introduced the College’s upcoming Confirmation programme. Students were reassured that the programme will take their questions seriously, helping them explore who they are, what they care about, and what is worthy of trust. Participation does not commit them to adopting the Christian faith; it offers a space for personal reflection and understanding.
