Five New Day & Boarding Options
Five new options from September 2027 will give families greater choice and flexibility while preserving the exceptional Cheltenham experience.
Cheltenham College is introducing five new day and boarding pathways from September 2027, giving families greater choice in how pupils experience life at the College while maintaining the distinctive character, opportunities and community of a Cheltenham education.
The five pathways, Day, Extended Day, Flexi Boarding, Weekly Boarding and Full Boarding, will provide options ranging from a day education to a fully immersive boarding experience throughout term time.
Chris Townsend, Head of Cheltenham College, said:“Families’ lives are changing, and we want Cheltenham to offer greater choice and flexibility while protecting everything that makes a Cheltenham education so special. Our new pathways will open up the College experience to a wider range of families, while Full Boarding will remain at the heart of our community. Whatever pathway a family chooses, every pupil will be fully part of the life, opportunities and ambition of Cheltenham College.”
The new pathways build on the College’s established boarding ethos while creating more choice for families who want different levels of flexibility. Full Boarding will continue to offer an immersive seven-day boarding experience, alongside options for pupils whose family circumstances are better suited to Day, Extended Day, Flexi or Weekly boarding.
The changes reflect Cheltenham College’s commitment to evolving with the needs of families while preserving the quality, breadth of opportunity and sense of belonging at the heart of a Cheltenham education.
