Investing in the Future of Cricket at Cheltenham College

The opening of our new cricket nets marks an exciting step forward for cricket at Cheltenham College. Made possible through a generous legacy donation, these purpose-built facilities are a lasting gift that will support pupils of all ages to develop their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.

In this video, Cricket Scholars Maddie and Henry share why having a dedicated space to practise with purpose makes such a difference – helping pupils refine technique, build consistency, and prepare for matches with greater focus.

Cricket at College is also strengthened by our place within the wider cricketing community in Cheltenham, from sessions run by Gloucestershire County Cricket Club to fixtures that connect pupils with the wider game. Our grounds also host the annual Cheltenham Cricket Festival, meaning pupils train and play in the very setting where top-level cricket is celebrated each summer.

These new nets will play an important role in ensuring cricket continues to thrive at College, supporting both participation and performance for years to come.
