Lunchtime Live Organ Recitals at the Chapel of St Mary and St George

Internationally renowned organists perform in the heart of Cheltenham College

The Chapel of St Mary and St George continues to welcome audiences to its popular Lunchtime Live organ recital series, a regular fixture in Cheltenham’s cultural calendar.

Held on the first Tuesday of each month, the free recitals showcase the College’s historic organ, one of the finest examples of British organ building of its period. Originally built in 1897 and fully restored in 2017, the instrument provides a rich and distinctive sound, enjoyed by audiences from across the local community and beyond.

The 2026 programme features a distinguished line-up of performers from leading churches, cathedrals and schools, alongside the College Organist. Doors open at 1.00pm, with recitals running from 1.15–2.00pm.
