It is easy to imagine that the most important parts of a school are the classrooms. The reality is that one classroom is much like another and what matters more than the room is what happens when you are in it. When it comes to choosing a school, most people look a lot at facilities, but one of the most important factors in choosing the right place is making sure that it is in the right place. Cheltenham College is perfectly situated in the beautiful Spa Town of Cheltenham, set in the stunning Cotswolds. The College itself provides green space within the town, but it is also surrounded by rolling hills, stunning views and the natural world and it is special to be able to be a part of this environment while growing up.
It is a special combination that brings together a rural setting with a thriving town and pupils at Cheltenham really appreciate being able to access the facilities in Bath Road, providing a break from the challenges of school. Cheltenham is even more than this, though, with the Festival Culture exploding all around us, and pupils able to access Music, Literature, Science and Jazz (and even Horse Racing on occasion!). We are proud to host Gloucestershire’s Cricket Festival (the largest and longest standing festival in the world) on our stunning grounds.
Cheltenham is also a town that takes education seriously and the Cheltenham Education Partnership (CEP) brings together all the maintained and independent senior schools in the town, as well as Gloucestershire University. This provides young people with transformational educational opportunities, beyond those that any individual school could provide.
