Pupils Wow in Show-Stopping Performance of Oliver!

To end the Spring Term Years 7 and Year 8 pupils from The Prep put on their performance of Oliver! After performing it twice for the school the pupils then had a two night run for parents and carers, demonstrating their drive and dedication to the show. The musical was directed by Mr Kimball, Head of Drama who shared his thoughts after the production:

“Arguably one of the mot beloved and well know musicals of the past century, with some truly intimidating show-stopper numbers and real dramatic heft, Oliver! is a show that I wanted to throw at the pupils to both challenge and inspire them. Challenged they were, with rigorous rehearsal sessions and an impressive wealth of discipline and effort being asked of them; but I believe every single audience member from our dress rehearsals to our big grand finale performance on Tuesday night, will agree that it was all worth it. My deepest and sincerest congratulations to the dramatic pupils in both the cast and the backstage crew, for bringing the Oom-Pah-Pah! This is a show that we’ll all be remembering for a long time.”
