Pupils Attend Film Premier in London
Pupils attend the film premiere of OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH, in London!
Last month, Cheltenham Prep were delighted to receive the news that our school had been selected to attend the Future Generations’ Premiere of OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH, following a competition entry for 15 of 600 tickets to UK schools.
15 of the Year 8 scholars were excited to attend the event, walking down the blue carpet at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall before watching the premiere. There were plenty of opportunities to learn all about our oceans, with interactive learning areas at the venue.
The Blue Marine Foundation is a UK ocean conservation charity set up in 2010 by some of the team behind the award-winning documentary film ‘The End of the Line’. Blue Marine is dedicated to addressing overfishing, one of the world’s biggest environmental problems and aims to restore the ocean to health by protecting and restoring marine environments. Its mission is to ensure the effective protection of at least 30 per cent of the ocean by 2030 and the sustainable management of the whole ocean.
