For September 2022, Cheltenham College seeks to appoint a number of part-time and bank Day Matrons on a term-time only basis (33 weeks), across our girls’ and boys’ boarding houses.

The role of Day Matron is an important and highly rewarding position, requiring dedication and commitment, providing first-class pastoral support to boarders within thriving boarding houses.

In conjunction with the Housemaster/Housemistress and other House staff, the Day Matron is responsible for the general welfare of the pupils within the House including providing pastoral, medical and domestic support.

Applicants should be organised, with a flexible and willing attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for dealing with young people in a close environment.

College’s boarding houses offer outstanding pastoral care to boarders and their families on a full and flexible basis, 7 days a week.
