Date Posted: Thursday 06 April 2023

Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Closing date for application: 30/04/2023

Cheltenham Activity Camps is looking to appoint an Early Years Group Coach who holds a Childcare NVQ Level 3 Qualification. The ideal candidate will be keen to work at Camps throughout the year during the school holiday periods.

As well as planning and delivering fun coaching sessions across a range of activities (both sporting and creative), the postholder will be a key-worker for a group of children of Nursery age and will be required to keep up to date with Government guidelines on Early Years Foundation Stage.

Cheltenham Activity Camps are the number-one provider of Multi-Sport and Activity Camps in Gloucestershire. Set amongst the beautiful grounds of Cheltenham College, the Sports Centre has outstanding facilities for our use. The children that attend our camps are central to everything that we do. Each child will take part in at least 6 activities a day- that’s over 30 if they come for a full week.

A responsible and positive attitude as well as a fun and approachable demeanour is essential in ensuring all of the children attending Camp have a wonderful time in a safe environment and want to come back year on year.

Normal Camp hours will be 9am to 4pm. Extended hours will be 8:00am to 5.30pm and a combination of hours will be worked on a rota-basis.

The hourly rate of pay is £10.11 per hour, plus an accrued £1.22 per hour in holiday pay.
