For September 2023, Cheltenham College seeks to appoint an experienced teacher of Physics to lead the department.

The Physics Department is forward-looking, progressive and dynamic, with an excellent academic record over many years. Pupils studying Physics both at IGCSE and A Level have the opportunity to discover and explore the building blocks of the universe in state-of-the-art facilities taught by specialist subject teachers.

The Physics department is supported by the Senior Physics Technician and a team of Science Technicians from across the Science Faculty.

College enjoys a thriving Common Room which offers a staff bar, regular social events and a supportive and collegiate atmosphere. Colleagues are generous in their support of new staff members and driven by a determination to ensure the very best outcomes for their students and colleagues.

The College has its own salary scale, and applicants will wish to contribute to College’s rich co-curricular programme. The Head of Physics can expect to teach a reduced timetable.
