Music Department Secretary/Administrator (Term Time only)
For a late August, early September start, Cheltenham College’s Music Department seeks to appoint a Secretary/Administrator on a term-time basis (33 weeks). This is a part time role of 27.5 hours per week (5.5 hours per day Monday to Friday).
The Music Secretary is responsible to the Director of Music and provides secretarial and administration support to the Director, music staff and visiting music teachers. The postholder will also be a responsible for a small amount of administrative support for College’s LAMDA programme.
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a tight-knit team and have an understanding of the inherent complexities of boarding school life. Experience as a musician is not a requirement, though an appreciation and an enjoyment of music will facilitate the smooth running of the Music Office.
