Prep School: Graduate Boarding Tutor
For September 2023 Cheltenham College Preparatory School seeks to appoint a Resident Graduate Tutor for a fixed period of one year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching, the education sector or is looking to gain valuable experience before starting their PGCE.
Graduate Tutors are accommodated on site and will relish the opportunity of immersing themselves in the day-to-day running of a thriving boarding school.
As well as providing classroom support, Graduate Tutors offer support in sporting activities during the school day and assist with pastoral duties in the boarding house in the evening. Whilst it is not essential, an interest in Art and/or Design Technology would be helpful.
Hours: This will be a term-time position (34 weeks) with an average of 50 hours per week to be worked as agreed with the Deputy Head (Operations) and the Head of Boarding.
The salary, based on minimum wage for age for April 2023, is expected to start at £19,394.83 per annum. It is a requirement of the role that you will reside in school accommodation and an accommodation charge, currently set at £63.70 per week, will apply.
Graduate Tutors can get all of their meals on site during term time, as well as complimentary membership to Cheltenham College’s gyms and swimming pool.
The Prep School is situated on the same campus as Cheltenham College in a beautiful setting with its own sports fields, lake and stunning views of Leckhampton Hill.
