For January 2023, Cheltenham College Prep School seeks a part-time Matron to join its close-knit pastoral boarding team, reporting to the House Parents.

The Prep’s boarding house offers outstanding pastoral care to boarders on a full-time and flexible basis, 7 days a week.

In conjunction with the House Parents, the Matron is responsible for the care, supervision, cleanliness and presentation of pupils.

Applicants should be organised, with a flexible and willing attitude, a sunny disposition, excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for dealing with young people in a close environment.

The House is located at the heart of the school and combines the very best of traditional boarding with the latest approaches to flexibility and an exciting and vibrant after-school activities programme. Boarding at the Prep contributes greatly to the sense of belonging and homeliness, which runs all the way through our community.

This is a term-time only role (33 weeks per annum). Available hours of work during term will be 19.5 hours per week, with necessary unpaid breaks, as follows:

Tuesday to Friday 7pm to 9:45pm

Saturdays 12:45pm to 21.45pm
